I feed my chipmunks in my yard, they all know me. One day I was digging leaves out of a rock wall and after a while the chipmunks sitting near me were doing their chirping alert to a predator and I didn’t see any birds in the sky so I took a look around and right where I was about to stick my hand next was a rattlesnake! Chipmunks also helped me find a small lost dog once with their calls. They’re awesome!!!
